Google+ effect - Facebook to add "AWESOME" features

San Francisco, Jul 1: Is Facebook a little worried about their future after the Google's announcement of a brand new social networking site dubbed as 'Google+'? Various media reported that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg has discussed the 'critical' situation with his colleagues and is planning to "launch something awesome" in the coming weeks.

Zuckerberg on Thursday, Jun 30 said that his company will add some new features to Facebook platform, but the world's youngest billionaire refused to comment on the new features.

It's expected that Facebook may announce new features for mobile and tablet platform. Earlier, we reported that Facebook is planning to launch an exclusive app for Apple iPad. A report in Los Angeles Times said that Facebook is also planning to launch a photo sharing app for Apple iPhones.

"We are working on a number of exciting things that we have not yet announced, but stay tuned for next week," the report quoted the Facebook Director of Engineering, Mr Andrew Bosworth, as saying.

It would not be surprising if Facebook reveal some new security features. Currently, Facebook is facing criticism for its loop holes on security features. At the same time, the recently announced Google+ is promising better features than the Facebook.

Unlike Facebook, Google+ Circles help users to create a particular group with selected members and posts and links posted in this group will be available for the members only. Google+ is not yet rolled for public, but it has managed to create a huge buzz in the market.
